TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.     Upon placing an order for a celebration cake a 50% deposit is required. Your initial deposit secures your date in the diary.

2.     The final balance should be received before your order date (a week before collection/delivery is due). Failure to meet your payment commitment, may mean we are unable to hand over your order to you.

3.     Upon placing an order for any other product (brownies, cupcakes, traybakes etc) full payment is due at the time of ordering. Orders will not be confirmed until full payment has been received.

4.     You have up to 10 days before the agreed order date to notify us of changes, e.g., size/design/flavour. Any changes after this date; we cannot guarantee that we can fulfil your requirements, and these may be subject to additional charges.

5.     Cancellation conditions:

o   Cancellation within 48 hours of due date - no refund given.

o   Cancellation within 1 week of due date - 50% refund (deposit refunded).

o   Cancellation prior to 1 week of due date - full refund given (deposit refunded).

6.     Cakes can be collected from our address at a mutually agree time.

7.     Once cakes are collected (by you or a nominated person), we are not responsible for transportation to their destination (or what happens along the way!).

8.     Sprinkles use on cakes may contain small hard sprinkles which include but are not limited to chocolate balls, sugar pearls/candy, hard sugar cachous/dragees/rods and chocolate filled sixlets. These items can pose a choking hazard to children three (3) years and under. We recommend that the sprinkles are consumed in the presence of an adult at all times. 

9.     Fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants and must be removed along with any floristry tape and wire before consuming the cake.

10.  If your cake contains figures made from sugar paste, whilst edible, we do not advise that they be eaten, due to the possible presence of dowels for reinforcement.

11.  Some items placed on the cake are not be edible. These include:

o   Plastic figurines/toys

o   Chocolate covered polystyrene balls

o   Card toppers 

o   Silk flowers

o   Dried flowers 

12.  We photograph all cakes and treats for marketing purposes for our business. We reserve the right to use such photographs for display/promotional reasons.

13.  We use a wide variety of ingredients whilst baking – many containing allergens – e.g., wheat, nuts, soy. All orders are labelled with the appropriate allergens and it is your responsibility to ensure any recipient(s) are aware of allergens within your baked goods order. If you have any concerns about any ingredients which may be present within your order, please contact us to discuss and we can provide full ingredient details to you.

14.  Tiered cakes contain dowels in each tier, to provide support and to aid design. Please ensure these are removed before consumption.

15.  Quotes are valid for 14 days from date of issue. A quote does not constitute a booking and your date/order is not secure until deposit has been made. 

16.  Your order will not be confirmed until payment is received and confirmed by me. Payments are via bank transfer, only, using your full name as a reference.

17.  Should we need to cancel an order due to sickness, in line with Food Hygiene Regulations, we shall give as much notice as possible and refund any money paid in full for orders that we are unable to fulfil. 

18.  Complaints are exceedingly rare and due to the amount of work put into every cake we take them very seriously. Any issues must be brought to our attention within 48 hours of collection/delivery to give us a fair opportunity to assess the nature of the complaint. Complaints regarding the decoration of a celebration cake can mostly be fixed very easily so these must be pointed out at the time of collection/delivery, so this gives us the opportunity to rectify them. Please note due to the current circumstances you will be sent a photo of the completed cake as viewing on collection is not possible. Where the complainant is regarding the quality of the cake, then the cake or remainder of the cake/tier must be returned to us as soon as possible after cutting and within 48 hours of collection/delivery to ensure we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint.
